Helping America's most vulnerable.

I don't have to be afraid anymore

Barbara and her four daughters found more than a warm bed and safety from the streets. At Volunteers of America, they would now longer be victimized or afraid. They found strength. Barbara discovered the courage inside of her, and developed faith in her own ability to carve out a better future for herself and her girls.

"I can now do this on my own thanks to you," Barbara shared.

At Volunteers of America, Barbara had the chance to focus on her goals, participate in job training and attend life skills classes. Everyday she saw more and more that she could make it on her own and began to believe in her self.
