Helping America's most vulnerable.

Bay Area Volunteer Opportunities

  • Become a Mentor

Entering the adult world is scary for anyone. Imagine entering that world unprepared and alone. This is the case for many foster youth, who find themselves focusing on survival and letting their dreams go by the way side. Sometimes being a hero just means being there. Mentors for our foster youth services and spend at least one hour a week to help youth set and achieve goals, be a positive role model and friend, be an education and career advocate, become a permanent connection, change a life and help build a future.

  • The Dream Store

Dream Store: Open every other Tuesday, unless otherwise notified. Volunteer shifts are available Tuesdays and the second Saturday of the month. Shifts may vary based on need. Volunteers work as personal shoppers to help foster youth pick out new clothing, school supplies, etc. For information on how you can get involved, please contact Tracy Bigelow at tbigelow@voa-ncnn.org.
