Creating Stong Futures Together

Community Foundation of Western Nevada + VOAncnn

Thank you for your interest in Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada

At VOA, our mission is to change individual lives, instill hope, increase self-worth, and facilitate independence through quality housing, employment, and related supportive services.

Volunteers of America (VOA) has served local families; single men and women; seniors; and veterans in Northern Nevada since 1911. Programs include emergency shelters, affordable housing, school and academic support, life-skill classes, health and wellness, employment preparation and job placement, and more.

Your gift / grant of $1,000 to $10,000 could provide a wide range of programs and services including:

  • $1,000 could help provide life-skills and supportive services, including employment training for 4 individuals
  • $2,500 could  provide crucial mental health and supportive services to three individuals so they can address their current crisis and trauma they are experiencing
  • $5,000 could provide shelter for 50 homeless individuals or 25 families.
  • $10,000 could provide employment training and housing services to the hundreds of men and women working to get back on their feet.

VOA’s current funding priorities are:

  1. Shelter for Families and Individuals
  2. Case Management and Supportive Services for homeless families and individuals
  3. Mental Health and Supportive Services for the Chronically Homeless and Mentally Ill.
