Building pathways to self-sufficiency.
Volunteers of America programs and services give our clients the tools to build brighter futures. Today, our service areas are concentrated on helping homeless individuals and families work toward self-sufficiency while addressing the root causes of homelessness and poverty. This approach includes addressing both immediate needs (e.g., safe shelter, substance abuse recover), and long-term sustainability, through employment services. We take a holistic approach toward human services, working with clients where they are at, providing resources to address past issues, and giving them the tools to build their own path forward.
