We are dedicated to serving and uplifting all people. In addition to being one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive human services organizations, Volunteers of America is an interdenominational church – a church with a distinctive ministry of service. For more than 125 years, Volunteers of America has provided essential services to heal both the body and soul. We provide human service programs and opportunities for individual and community involvement for people of all faiths.
Our work is all about helping others. We are a church without walls dedicated to serving all people. We believe in outreach and being in the field where people in need struggle. We do this through our ministry of service, which is made up of over 300 professionals working across Northern California and Northern Nevada and touching the lives of over 5,000 people every night. We take our calling seriously because the problems people face today are serious.
