About Operation Backpack

Individuals, local groups, and corporations have been donating items for the last four weeks to this 13th Annual Operation Backpack campaign. Volunteers are working daily to sort, pack and organize grade specific backpacks to aid, thousands of at-risk children in the region return to school with the tools they need to learn. Operation Backpack helps these vulnerable children by providing backpacks, grade-specific school supplies, and a variety of support services to homeless, at-risk and foster children from Pre-school to High School throughout the Bay Area, Greater Sacramento Area, and Reno regions.
