STARBUCKS LEADS AS LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS GATHER TO SERVE AT THE #OAKLANDALLIN EVENT
2,000 packets of food, school supplies, and sanitation supplies are available
Oakland, CA – Local organizations and community members have come together for the #OaklandAllin Food Donation Event, taking place Saturday, February 27 from 9:00AM to 12:30PM to benefit all Oakland residents in need.
#OaklandAllIn strives to lighten the burden of the events of the last year and strengthen the community through local partnerships. “VOA is proud to partner with Starbucks and other community partners to share some love and to acknowledge the hardship that many of our Oakland neighbors have faced. We are only as strong as the weakest among us.” states Christie Holderegger, VP, Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada.
Community members can drive through the location and receive food, school supplies, and sanitation supplies for their families. All items will be given on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of 2,000 packs. Proper social distancing and Covid-safe measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all involved.
Primary sponsors include Starbucks and Volunteers of America Northern CA & Northern NV (VOA-NCNN). Additional sponsorship is provided by Target, Safeway, Alameda County Food Bank, White Pony Express, Bimbo Bread, Kaiser Permanente, Mindful Littles, Arsola House, and God’s Hand Ministry.
The event is located at 7801 Edgewater Dr. in Oakland.
