VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA HIRING FOR NEW NEVADA CARES CAMPUS
Support Staff and Housekeeping Positions Available
Reno, NV – The new Nevada Cares campus is scheduled to open in early May. This shelter will have the capacity to serve up to 900 of our neighbors struggling with homelessness and prepare them for the next step of housing. The campus, funded and managed in partnership with the City of Reno, the City of Sparks, and Washoe County, will be operated by Volunteers of America Northern California and Nevada.
In preparation for the campus’s opening, Volunteers of America is hiring 20 employees, both Support Staff and Housekeeping. Salary is $13.65/hr. The majority of our programs operate seven days a week, 24 hours a day, allowing employees opportunities to work different shifts in different areas of service. Volunteers of America offers full-time employees a benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance and short term disability insurance coverage.
“We are looking for caring, compassionate staff members to help those experiencing homelessness heal from their traumas and move toward independence,” states Pat Cashell, Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada.
