Community Partner Provides Mattresses to Residents

The Village on Sage Street, a unique coed “dorm-style” facility in Reno, recently received a generous donation from Mor Furniture for Less. The donation included 100 twin mattresses, each valued at $249.99. The mattresses will provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for the facility's residents, who are primarily living on a low income.
The donation was coordinated by the KT Grace Foundation, a local organization that partners with nonprofits to support the community. The team from Mor Furniture expressed their commitment to giving back to the communities where they are located and were happy to support the Village on Sage Street.
The Village on Sage Street, which opened in August 2019, is part of the "Community Foundation of Northern Nevada's" innovative solutions for housing in the Reno area. It is comprised of eight modular buildings with 216 small single-occupancy units. The facility provides stability through housing to low-income individuals and contributes to the overall well-being of the community.
The Village on Sage Street offers a variety of amenities to its residents, including onsite laundry, meeting, and recreation spaces, Wi-Fi, and an outdoor gathering area. The facility also hosts programs such as SNAP Outreach, Mobile One Docs, and Church Service & Bible Study, providing important services and a sense of community to those who call the Village on Sage Street home.
The partnership between the Village on Sage Street, the KT Grace Foundation, and Mor Furniture for Less is an excellent example of how local organizations can come together to support those in need and create a stronger, more connected community.
