Thanks to you I won't be embarrassed anymore about presenting myself to an employer

This Labor Day, Edwin wanted to share a sincere sentiment with you because he is so grateful for your continued support. Although you have faced your own set of challenges, you have not given up on your neighbors in need. Thank you! 

Edwin is remarkable. He served in the Army and traveled all over including Japan, Germany, and Vietnam. More recently he completed a deployment as a contractor in Iraq and he had great hopes for his future. However, his plans were derailed by a series of unexpected challenges and after all the years of service to his county, Edwin found himself homeless. Thankfully he learned about VOA's transitional housing program for veterans and moved in right away. 

"My time here at VOA has been a tremendous blessing in so many ways. Being here has afforded me the time to closely inspect the areas of my life that were out of control, and put me back on the track to success."
