Lauren has been with the Volunteers of America's Transitional Housing for Former Foster Youth Program for almost two years now. She hopes to pursue a degree at Humbolt University after graduation. "Here at VOA, I feel like I'm not alone. I've learned to not lose hope in the world, because there are people and places like VOA that will help you rebuild your life. Winter Triage Shelter
βThe Winter Triage Shelter is an innovative solution to serve those homeless that are most critically in need. This shelter is "low barrier" and includes 200 beds. The focus of this shelter is based on moving these people in need into housing. Volunteers of America is proud to have been chosen to run this shelter and to help support those in need.β
