The VOA Journey

Over one hundred twenty-five years ago, a handful of inspired individuals began a journey that continues today. This journey brought them to the extremes of poverty, into the world of the abused, the destitute, and the hungry, into a world that lacked both material and spiritual comfort. These dedicated individuals, known as the Volunteers of America, rolled up their sleeves and created shelter for the homeless and served meals throughout the year so that no one would go hungry. At Volunteers of America-NCNN, we continue that same journey today with nearly 400 dedicated team members. We provide critical and life-saving services to men, women, and children – doing whatever it takes to renew the spirits of people in need.

By working together, we are fueling constructive, equitable opportunities for all. We aspire to be a workplace where you can be yourself, achieve your best, and thrive together. Volunteers of America embraces diversity and inspires an inclusive culture based on trust and respect to cultivate belonging and connection among our employees, clients, and underserved communities. Come join us on this journey!
