The Village on Sage Street in Reno has expanded its affordable housing capacity by nearly 50%, adding 96 new single-occupancy units to its existing 216.
Volunteers of America has received a renewed grant from The Home Depot Foundation to support Guard and Reservist service members lacking VA benefits.
We are proud to help keep our seniors safe and give them the dignity they deserve. Earlier this year we opened the Nottoli Place Shelter, in partnership with Sacramento County, to offer safety to seniors who are suffering from neglect, abuse and homelessness. We are thrilled to celebrate the first guests, who have gotten back on their feet and are now moving into their own permanent housing.
We are excited to extend a warm welcome to Travis Sandefur, the owner of Pangolin Café and a dedicated advocate for the community. Prior to joining VOA’s staff, Travis served on the board for four years as a member and as Vice Chair.
