2. Bring Joy to a Family In Need 

Purchase holiday gifts for a family this holiday season. You’ll be matched with a family and given a list of a few of their needs and wishes. Please keep each gift to roughly $25-50 Costs range from $100-$500 depending on family size. As an example:

• Single mother needs a pair of small winter gloves and laundry detergent and wishes for movie tickets and a Target gift card
• Her son, age 10, needs a medium winter coat and wishes for Spiderman Legos and a skateboard

3. Volunteer

• Serve holiday treats at the Nevada Cares Campus for Thanksgiving Eve on November 27 from 5PM – 7PM
• Help decorate Sierra Manor on December 7 from 12PM – 3PM
• Serve more holiday treats on Christmas Eve at the Nevada Cares Campus from 1PM – 3PM 
• The Nevada Cares Campus volunteer events require completing a volunteer application and background check with Washoe County

4. Donate Items 

These items help our neighbors who lack housing or those who have just moved into housing: Amazon Wishlist

Items can be dropped off at VOA’s ReStart Center, 1095 E. Taylor St., Reno, NV from 8AM-12PM and 1PM-5PM M-F.
