Whether you're looking to volunteer as an individual or as a group, we welcome your help and compassion!
Sacramento Area Opportunities
Sponsoring a birthday party for the kids at our Family Shelter or our Mather Transitional Housing program is an incredible opportunity to create memories for the kids and families and help provide continuity, joy, and hope in otherwise unsettled and uncertain times. As a sponsor, you would provide the gifts, cupcakes/cake, goody bags, decorations, paper goods, and entertainment/games for the party.
The host for these nights can choose virtually any craft to teach the kids how to make. The possibilities are endless! You would provide enough craft supplies for 10 kids and teach them how to make it. Even coloring is very fun for them! Our craft nights are held on Mondays at 6-7pm at our Residential Family Shelter.
Senior Safe House Adopt-a-Meal
Provide a meal for the residents: Bring a complete meal to the Senior Safe House(enough for 10 people)- either prepared or just the ingredients- and prepare it yourself at the House or leave for staff to prepare. (breakfast, lunch, or dinner)
Other Group Volunteering
If you have a group of 8 or more volunteers we can use your help with one-time projects at one of our many programs in Sacramento.
You can be part of helping prepare a child for success in school by volunteering your time to sort backpacks, pick up backpacks from drop-off locations, holding a collection drive, or data entry.
