Recognizing the specific needs of those who served our country, Volunteers of America provides specialized programs for homeless and at-risk veterans and their families in the Greater Sacramento area. Services include rapid re-housing, case-management and homeless prevention. A large focus is heavily placed on increasing our veteran men's and women's employment possibilities through life and job skills classes.
We aim to give homeless veterans and their families the tools to overcome their barriers to housing and employment, attain and maintain stable housing, find and keep sufficiency-level employment, and gain access to resources that will help them live positive, independent lives.
Volunteers of America provides assistance to veteran men, women and their families in Sacramento, Yolo, El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties. Since its inception, VOA Veteran Services has given over 2,100 veterans the tools to build brighter futures.
Our work with veterans is made possible by the generous support of organizations like The Home Depot Foundation.
